For those of you who don't know, our life has been a hectic mess since early June. We knew that I had a science teaching job at bountiful jr. come fall and we wanted to move. we found out our rentle contract went through the start of school. Obviously that wouldn't work. So we told our appartment maneger that they could start looking for someone to fill our apartment before the end of our contract. Well, they did their job great and we had to move out by June 12th with noplace to go. So our stuff went into storage and we stayed in my parents tent trailer. That was until Justin received and started a job in Farmington at Lagoon. At that point he stayed with his mom and I and the girls continued to stay with my parents. With the help of Justin's mom we found an appartment in Bountiful; but we had to wait till July 19th to move in.
Now we're in Bountiful, and school has started. Things might start to calm down.

I have accepted a contract!
I've been looking for a teaching position and now I have found one! I have accepted a Open contract with the Davis School District. I am very excited! Justin and I both had Davis at the top of our list.
For those of you who don't know; Davis county is located just to the North of Salt Lake City. It includes Bountiful, Farmington, Syracuse, and other nearby communities. In fact all of Justin's family have attended school within the Davis School District.
My understanding of an open contract is that they want to hire me but do not know where they will have an opening next fall. So they gave me a contract saying that I will have a position next fall but it will not specify where. As openings become available they will give my name to the principles first, so I will have the first opportunity to chose from any available positions. If I do not chose one by the end of summer they will assign me one.
The person over their science department told me he was trying to get them to offer me this. He apparently succeeded. We both wanted to guaranty me a job in their district.
As far as I could tell most of the districts in the Salt Lake area were quite similar in what they offer as far as pay and benefits. Davis seemed best to me because of it's location and the support it gives it's staff.
As I said, I'm quite excited!

Delaney's First Cake
White Christmas
Well, a storm hit good and hard Christmas eve. We loved the snow but hated what it did to our car. We were stranded in bountiful with Justin's Dad and had no way to get back home for Christmas. It was the first year Delaney's been excited and we were stranded with no presents. Luckily our dads came to the rescue. Justin's Dad drove us part way and my dad came and took us the rest of the way home. So what could of been a Christmas disaster became a Christmas miracle.
Christmas morning was great the girls had so much fun, and it was great to be home. This picture is just outside our apartment Christmas morning.
